The University of Mississippi Medical Center offers the state’s most extensive care for patients with potentially life-threatening brain and central nervous system conditions, such as massive stroke, bleeding in and around the brain, brain tumors or trauma, severe seizures, spinal cord disorders, and recovery from neurosurgery.
Our dedicated, experienced staff includes two board-certified neuro-intensivists, which are physicians with fellowship training in neurological intensive care. Direct care on the dedicated 20-bed unit is provided by a highly trained, experienced team. They work closely with neurotrauma surgeons,
